The Black Achievement Success and Engagement in Science (BASES) Scholars program builds a community of support for student scholars by providing financial, academic, and mentoring resources throughout the students' first year. You will be a part of a cohort of other scholars in the program taking part in the BASES courses together with the following benefits:
Mentorship and academic skill development from faculty and staff of color
Peer mentorship from Cal Poly Pomona students of color and community support from the BRC
$750 BASES Scholar Scholarship
